Taken and passed the NBRC entry level examination (WAC 246-928-540)
An applicant must be a graduate of a two-year respiratory therapy educational program accredited by CoARC or CAAHEP (WAC 246-928- 520)
All licensed practitioners shall acquire 30 credit hours of continuing education every two years. A minimum of 10 credit hours must be earned in courses approved by the AARC. (WAC 246-928- 442)

An individual who has completed an approved ed program is eligible for temporary practice. Individual must submit application and sit for the examination within 90 days of graduation and be under the supervision of a licensed RCP. (WAC-246-928-530)
